Three hours later...

Bethany here:

Well, I haven't been on in a while so you know what that means... A possible, very long blog for you to read, and me to write.

If you can't remember, the last time I didn't blog for a while it ended up being me writing for 1 1/2 hrs.

And, three hours later, I still haven't done anything on this post, and I'm about to be booted off the computer.

So, I hope that you all had a good holiday and you should check out the following youtube people/channels.

Punishments!!!

Betho! What are you thinking?!! Now we're going to have to go though with this!!! And, NO!!! We should not punish Lily!!! Lily has been posting!!! And when I wasn't posting, it was because I had nothing interesting to say!!!
Anyway, now that we've gotten that out of the way, who is extremely excited to see Harry Potter 7 with her boyfriend? Me of course!!! As long as I can find out the show times...
Also, we have an annoying art presentation (I hate presentations of any kind) thing, that is just that. Annoying.
Anyhow, that's pretty much my life right now.

Punishments?

I am so horrible at this!

So, the idea of this blog was so that Lily and I would be writing about our days, and, well, just us. And I am not doing so well.

I sort of got the inspiration of this from the vlogbrothers and so I jokingly asked my friends if they thought that we should be punished if we failed to blog. They seriously agreed.

So I guess for everyday that I didn't have an excuse (and that's like, 9 days of my blogging) I must be punished.

And if my math is correct, I haven't been blogging 3x a week. With 3 weeks excluded, and there having been 14 weeks - 3 =11
3 x 12 = 33

That's 33 punishments. Wow. Or maybe we could, you know, condense them into say, 6 or 3?

So the reason I am excused from 2 weeks is because I moved, and we didn't have Internet or a computer!
And they don't let you on the school computers unless you're doing school work. >:(

Also, someone I knew died and I needed a few days to grieve, so I took that Wednesday off (as I had found out on a Tuesday). Then the last reason is Darien Lake, but you already knew about that.

But, basically, I am doomed. So, friends of mine (and Lily) will you punish me? And with what? [Also, should we punish Lily too?]

This is mostly a weird find out how you feel about these.

Also, the punishments would have to be a little embarrassing, but, nothing too serious...

So, on this or the Facebook companion, or email at dumbledoresarmy_deatheaters@yahoo.ca tell me what you think.

(and just so you know, I did figure how many punishments Lily would get. 30)
(ps, I sortof like this new computer...)

First Day

It was my first day of high school today, and let's just say it was the most insane day of my life, but most of all I just miss my old friends. I don't even really want to talk about it because then I have to think about how I'm going to survive tomorrow.
Anyway, I just found out about this kool writing contest called 3-Day Novels from a friend on Facebook that they do every Labour Day weekend. You have that weekend and that weekend alone to write a novel, which is...on the brink of insane, but I might do it next year. It will take some serious practice. The thing is that you can't have an idea ahead of time (which of course I already do). I'm also not a very fast typer (actually I never learned how to type) which doesn't help. And you have to double space, which I hate cause in books they only have one space; that's going to be a hassel. If I stick to my plan of working on my book (yes, I write) 15 min. each day (starting tomorrow) that should help, and if I also do little short works like...every other weekend and on holidays it would help. Anyhow, if you're interested, there is a link in our link box.
Song: Again, not really much of anything, more like bits and pieces of stuff.
Quote: Pitiful creature of darkness, what kind of life have you known? God give me courage to show you, you are not alone. - Christine, Phantom of the Opera
Book: The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring
Oh, and another thing my family and I are doing is watching all the Battlestar Galactica episodes, cause my dad loved them and he owns them...so ya. They are really great, but they're not for everybody my age (some could not handle the maturity levels). Anyway, I like'em.
I guess that's all for now.
Farewell!!!

Answers

Well, I guess I'll start with answering to Betho's post.
First of all, my private school is not at all like the ones you're describing. They are not enclosed in any way or lacking many different ethical backgrounds (there were tonnes of international students at the BBQ I went to). Also, none of the people I have met there so far are stuck up or mean (though I'm sure there will be some, as there are in all schools, public or private).
No, you do not understand what I meant when I said we can't take anything for granted. We can not be sure of anything. Anything could happen. Yes, today you may be sure that you are going to age, but tomorrow you could just randomly stop ageing. And yes, today the sun may rise in the east and set in the west, but tomorrow it could rise in the south and set in the north. And though these things are unlikely, none of us truly knows the future, therefore none of us can tell exactly what is going to happen tomorrow, in a year from now or a decade from now ect. Not even Alice Cullen could be sure of the future because she only saw visions of what might happen not will happen. And these visions changed depending on what people did, which I guess shows that we are constantly changing our future.
I also meant that we should not take the things we have for granted, because they could be taken away at any moment. Life is the biggest one. Think of life as a privilege, not given.
That's what I meant.
I am defiantly paying you back for that tie, no ifs ands or buts. And don't lie about what the price was, I will know if you do.
That stuff about having a "mask", I know exactly what you mean. It's hard to be yourself and even I'm a culprit of pretending to be something I'm not, even though most of the time I'm me.
Once a week after school sounds good to me for band practice, just not on a dance day. Oh ya, and I'm not home from school until 4-ish I think, I'll get back to you on it.
Bethany, your mom is a teacher her job is to teach and preparing her classroom and the courses (is that even the proper term for public schools) is not teaching. That's just one of the things that comes with teaching, I'm sure your mom knew that when she pursued it as a career. I know what it's like too, don't forget that my mom teaches at a college and she doesn't get paid for all the prep work she does. A teachers job is to teach and the rest is extra.
Anyway, my requirements.

A Million Things (including Sorry!)

So, it's been a while. It's Bethany here, with no excuses today, so you don't need to feel obligated to forgive me. I've been a very bad blogger. I'm SORRY! okay, Life, sortof, gets in my way. Well, not life exactly, it's more of not actually doing anything so I'm too lazy to actually do anything. WAIT! I did have a doctor's appointment on Wednesday that then included a x-ray because my left wrist (that I've fractured across the growth plate before) was hurting, and then a piano lesson and then my mom took me to her school to get set up (she teaches grade five). So I DO have an excuse, oh, wait. I was on the computer that day, and it wasn't like we were there until 7:30pm (that was Sunday).
So, anyway, while sorting cards I was thinking about a lot of things (also because there was no music so I was pretty bored). And here they are in a list for you!
  1. School, Public School to be exact.
  2. Growing Up
  3. Harry Potter
  4. Harry Potter Fandom
  5. I <3 Venomous Tentaculas
  6. Harry Potter Big Name Fans
  7. Harry Potter Fanfictions (by ME!)
  8. Why don't teachers get paid for their work outside of school times?
  9. "You shape the minds of the future."
  10. Heart, spade, heart, spade, club, diamond, diamond, diamond, heart, diamond, club....
  11. Club, club, diamond, spade heart, heart heart, spade, heart, diamond, club.
  12. 1, 4, 3, 7, 8, 3, 9, queen, 6, 7, 8, 5, ace, king, 10, jack.
  13. 8, queen, ace, 3, 4, 7, 2, 1, jack, 10, 5, king, 9, 6.
I was actually reading a book where she list all her lists to 13, so there you go. But really here are my thoughts on the things above (removing 10-13 cause there isn't much else I can explain)....

1. Why do so may of us hate school? I mean, it's not like we have much of a choice, so why not make it fun and enjoy it? Besides, once you get to High school, you only have to be around people you like, and who (mostly) like the same stuff as you. But, I give you, elementary school sucks. But there's also the Public vs Private school thing too, and the Catholic, and the Cristian (which I guess goes with the private thing too, but really...)
Basically, most of my relatives on my mother's side are either Dutch Reformed or Christian Reformed. (Gasp! I know! considering that their all Dutch.) And that means that they are pretty set in their ways, and they mostly send their kids to Christian schools. Now, some of them are really cool, and really nice and I don't mean that people who send their kids to private Christian schools are mean or bad, but it's a little bit enclosed, I suppose. It's also kinda like that for private schools in general, and the teachers aren't as well payed (my uncle taught at one a while ago) which is something I think about because my mom's a teacher.
But Public Schools are awesome! I mean, they have a while lot of different ethnic divisions, and you meet a lot of cool people. (I am obviously pro-Public School). I'm not really against them, I mean, before she was a teacher my mom ran a private nursery school that I attended, but it only has specific types of people. Rich (mostly) to higher middle class, and sortof stuck up snooty brats. There are always exceptions, but for the most part....
Lily, as you are going to a Private High School, what do you think?
2. It kindof sucks to grow up, doesn't it? I mean, like, there's this really famous quote that goes 'Youth is wasted on the young.' Dude who said that, because I can't remember but you were obviously really popular, I don't know. I think that it's a little bit of truth, but to be truly youthful, you have to be a person who doesn't understand. As Lils has said before, you can't really take anything for granted, but really? Can we?
I mean, if you live for a hundred years you will know that you will always grow older. You will always start as a baby, then become a child, then an adult, etc. It is something that will always be there (unless you're Benjamen Button, but then, really?). You can always take for granted that the sun will rise in the east and set in the west. I've gotten off topic, haven't I? And that's probably not what Lily meant, but she can reply to this in her next blog too.
3. It's the random quotes that appear in my head. 'It is our choices Harry, not our abilities, that make us who we are.' I think it's kinda cool. I also went to the Harry Potter Exhibition on Monday (and got Lily a tie. THERE WERE NO RAVENCLAW TIES!!! REALLY WB? REALLY?) and got sorted into Ravenclaw. It's partly because when ever I take an online quiz they say I'm in Hufflepuff, and for a long time I was okay with that, but I just felt the need to actually be something. It's not that Hufflepuffs aren't something, but it's the idea that Ravenclaws are always respected, as know-it-alls, if nothing else. And if there's anything that I want it's to be respected. It's a lot easier to be yourself online then it is in real life. But no more phcycology (sp?). What I mean is that it's easier to be smart, then hardworking (and maybe I am just[yes] and loyal[yes] and hard working[maybe]), or maybe it's a mask, but I do think that the quizzes don't really get into a person. I mean, I once saw something about Slytherins being the ones who have masks. And I sortof do. I rarely let my mask drop, but it is difficult. Bottom line, Do we really change by 1 choice? Do I really belong in Ravenclaw? Or do I belong in Hufflepuff, or Slytherin, or Gryffindor?
4. I feel like I should be doing more for the fandom that I want to take part in. I mean, you can't just read the books, and listen to Wizard Rock, and read fanfiction and just be. You need to do something or maybe that's just what I think... But what I mean, I may write fanfiction and go to wrock shows, but I think, until I do something I'm not really in it. I can listen to Pottercast, and understand all of their 'inside' jokes, and read Melissa Annelli's 'Harry, A History', but it's like I'm one of those who go though all this but I feel like I'm pretending. I didn't really do anything except write Fanfics in the Twilight fandom either, and it was a way newer fandom, and no one really cared that I left. I mean, I used to check Stephenie Meyer's webpage, my e-mail, and the Lexicon before I went to school. Granted, I'm leaving earlier now, but I don't anymore, HP or Twilight. Maybe the fandom is too big to do that now. I mean, there are millions of sites, and JK Rowling doesn't update as frequently as Stephenie Meyer did, but I mean, I am/was one of the ones who freaked out about the first pictures, I know what HisGoldenEyes.com is, and when it was created. I was one of those ones who didn't hate that Robert Pattinson was cast as Edward, before the release date for the movie, or anything else about the movie was put out. And then I was just one of the millions of others, of the popular kids. And I kinda loath following everyone around like sheep so I quit. Twilight. And now I want to make my mark so I don't feel like I've been forgotten when Harry Potter goes through another popular route. Which leads into my next thing.
5. I <3 Venomous Tentaculas was a wizard rock band Lily, Dasha and I were going to start. It was really actually more of a joke at the beginning. We enjoyed our first show so much we wanted to follow bands all over the country and into the US as well, then we said 'Well, then, why not START a band?' and we said 'Okay.' and there it was.... So I wrote some songs but I really want to actually record them and make and album and put it on youtube (and now you know why) but we actually have to do it. So, we had hoped that we would have an album by now, but we haven't so we NEED to do it. Period. My house after school once a week?
6. I WANT TO BE A BIG NAME FAN!!! I want to be that important, and I want to have people look up to me and all this stuff, but unless I do something I can't. So I really need to either get a really good band started up, or a really good fanfiction or something! I don't have a plan. I'll just go with it right now, so what ever.
7. No. It's all about how I haven't even finished the first chapter of a story that I've almost written the end to. And any little plot holes. If you want to read some of my works press here.
8. It really sucks. I spent 7.5 hours at the school with my mom, and she didn't even get payed for it [I did]. It would be a lot of money to spend, but really? It's too much. She's been going to school for the days for weeks to set up her classroom but she's doing this because she wants the students to have the best start possible. The teachers get payed for 9-3. Anytime after school (and if your teacher is anything like my mom, it's 4, 5, ever night) is not payed for. Neither is weekends, or any work you take home. Teachers get a really bad end.
Now my butt's going numb so I will move, but keep the rest of it relatively short.
9. This is something a teacher of mine used to say. His name was Mr. Maclean, and he was amazing, and nice and smart and, just everything you want in a science teacher. And he was always saying something like that, about my mom. Or it was 'Your mom shapes the.....' and I really wanted to send him a quick e-mail that just said 'You were amazing, I will never forget you. And you know how you were always saying how my mom shapes the minds of the future, well you do it too, and you do it wonderfully. -Bethany'. And so that is something else I was thinking about.

But now it's 10:30, and I started this at 9, so I will just sign off after this quick thingy that I have to do...
Book: The Stupidest Angel by Christopher Moore (I GOT TO SEE HIM LIVE! BE JEALOUS!!!) and Emily the Strange Stranger and Stranger by Rob Reger and Jessica Gruner (This is the book I was talking about before)
Song: This is Never Going to End by the Parselmouths.
Quote: "Maybe you're reading Twilight now, and maybe you're watching Lost, or maybe you're stuck on Pokemon cause that game was pretty boss, but no matter where you are, or where ever you plan to be, you'll never be quite finished with your HP family.... We know that real-life hugs will always be better than a Facebook poke but thank God we've got those summer cons, never mind that I've gone broke. Yeah it can be sort of sad when hanging out means a Skype call, but it really makes it worth it since you're the greatest friend of all' -This is Never Going to End by the Parselmouths (I told you it was stuck in my head.)

Bethany

Nothing New

I just finaished painting my new iron bed with my mom. I was doing all the touch ups cause it's easier for me. Tomorrow is hopefully coat number two, but maybe not. My aunt is storing stuff in our garage while she finds a place (she's moving back here from Windsor).
I don't really have anything to talk about...nothing new, other than high school. And that's really no big deal.

I Have No Idea What to Call This Post

Wow, like 1 week until school...AHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! That sucks. I can't sleep in and play games on the computer all day (that makes it sound like I have no life). Ya, so now it's High School for me...I'm excited/nervous but I'm sure it'll be fine.

I was up till midnight last night with my mom watching past episodes of Glee on Diva. My mom insisted that I go to bed right after the regionals. And the Neil Patrick Harris episode, which sucks big time.
I don't really have anything interesting to tell you peeps, so bye!!!

Well...

Man, it has been a while. Right now I am on a computer that does not like apostrophies so it is going to be a kindof odd post. Of course there may be a little bit of accents, but really...

So, it has been a really long time, so excuses first:
Sunday (last week): Darien Lake
Monday: Darien Lake
Tuesday: Darien Lake
Wednesday: VBS Sleepover
Thursday: VBS Sleepover
Friday:Cottage
Saturday: Cottage
Sunday: Cottage
Monday: Canada(apostrophee)s Wonderland.
Tuesday: My brother(apostrophee)s birthday, also... Not my day.
Wednesday: Okay, well, I slept until 4pm, sadly, and then I had chores, and then, supper, and then I was, by some insane way, tired, so, well, yeah.
Thursday: Not my day.
And that brings us to Friday, so...

I was watching a lot of VlogBrothers aka Hank and John Green, and (slash) or Nerdfighters. They are really cool, and they, well, they make fun of Twilight (or, as the people on averagewizard.com say Tw!l!ght). But that is not why I like them. They are just kindof fun to watch. And their advice (or at least John Green(apostrophee)s) on romantic relationships is really funny. And watching them bash Twilight is not that bad either. Especially because what they say makes sense. -It(s) not that we look old, it(s) because we are old- John says when talking about Twilight. So, really, here is some youtube for you to watch. Monday I am in Toronto, so there will not be a post from me, but there will be more. Just be patient.

Thank you random readers. Or not so random readers.

Bethany

Book: Not reading An Abundance of Kathrines anymore (But now you know why I bought the book), but still, Harry, a History by Melissa Annelli, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows by JK Rowling, and Harry Potter Should Have Died by Emerson Spartz and Ben Shoen. (I know the authors now!)
Song: Err, some song from Glee (Lily will be thrilled)
Quote: It is our choises, Harry, that make us who we truly are. Albus Dumbledore.

Long Time No See

Ya, so like Betho said she had her trip to Darien Lake, and then we had VBS (for anyone who doesn't know that's Vacation Bible School) and then up to the cottage. And then on Tuesday my friend had her birthday party at Canada's Wonderland so I was gone the whole day, so ya...I'm really lame, I only went on really easy rides since I'd never been before.
Song: Guys Like Potter - AVPS
Quote: Lupin: ...so we can defeat Slytherin, Ravenclaw and Jigglypuff. (A.K.A. why we're called Jigglypuff)
Books: The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring and Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secerts
I was reading Lord of the Rings at the cottage and I when found out that Frodo was was 50 and I kinda started freaking out. And then I found out that Sam father's name is Hamfast and I started to wonder if J.R.R. Tolkien was sane. And then I relised that all the hobbits father's names rhymed or were similar. And that was just weird.
Anyway, I just felt the need to tell you people that.
Gotta go; see ya'll!!!

Now, I have to go do chores. Yay.

Song Stuck in my Head: Not Alone from AVPM.
Quote of the day: Snape: That's absurd!
Lupin: You're absurd!
Snape: Say that to my face!
Lupin: You're absurd!

Life

Sorry peoples! I had company yesterday and didn't get the chance to go on the computer.

Song: Bohemian Rhapsody, same as a few days ago...these things last for like a week.
Book: The Hobbit and Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets
Quote: Gimli: I never thought I'd die fighting side-by-side with an elf.
Legolas: What about side-by-side with a friend?
Gimli: Aye, I could do that.
-Lord of the Rings Film Trilogy: The Return of the King

I can't wait to compare the books to the movies. My family and I watched The Lord of the Rings movies again earlier in July; good, good movies.
I feel like I should go through my life story like Bethany, but there's not much to tell. Perhaps it is because my family has not had as many struggles as her's has. Anyway, here it goes. My life is much less dramatic in many ways. Our biggest struggle is my little brother who has Down Syndrome. To others, it may seem like a big hassle, but it's not. We love him and he's probably the best thing that happened to my family and me. If this sheds some light on it: I would die for him without a second thought. Even though he will never do the things I will, he will still have a great, loving, happy life. The only other big thing I can think of that is abnormal, is that my mother had a benign tumor behind her eye, and that was really no big deal when I reflect on it. So, ya...
Anyhow, I have been thinking about life lately, and how we take every second for granted, when really it's not. You are not guaranteed even the first second in your life. Any of us could die tomorrow at any second. It's really random.
Think about life, it's rather interesting.

P.S. Betho won't be posting Monday. She's on a short vacation. Hmm...I might post, depends.

I Open at the Close

So, today it was announced where the split will be in Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 1 and Part 2. And I just can't help but feel a little bit sad with all of this, well, that and one of my older friends posted a picture of us on the night of the Deathly Hallows release.
At 98 Days to go, it kind of seems like the end's coming a little too quickly for me. But really I think I have to go back to the beginning.
Christmas 2001 was my first introduction to Harry Potter. I was in grade one, six years old and pretty much just learning to read. I had decided to try to read 100 books by Christmas, (and if anyone cares that's a little more than 1/school day) My parents are really big readers, and by the time I got to Christmas I was reading novel sized books. My actual reading career started in Kindergarten when I would read books to the class. They were only the kind of picture books that the teacher would read, but I was still 5 and reading aloud.
The Harry Potter books made their way into our household because my father, who is always more up on what's happening, even now, knew that there was a movie coming out and wanted to read the books first. The books were apparently very popular even then. I got him (with my mom's help) a three book set and then fourth book, the only books available at the time. But, then I thought that they looked really interesting, and I read them too. According to my mother, I only caught the main story line, but I was only six. I read them over the next few years again and again, and they just sort of migrated to my bedroom eventually.
Fast forward to 2005, when I turned 11. This is the time that a lot of Harry Potter fans say that they cried when their Hogwarts Letter didn't arrive. Me? I was more interested in why I was now having these little blank-out things. As it turned out, I was having seizures and was diagnosed with Epilepsy later that month. It severely put dent in my life, and it became really important for me to get the medication correct so I could be seizure free. That took most of the summer. And then I went into Grade 6. That August, my dad was diagnosed with an Acoustic Neroma, a type of brain tumor, and though we didn't know it, he would die if he didn't have the surgery in the next 2 months. So, in September 2006, while I'm battling with Epilepsy, my father has a brain tumor removed. It takes until March for us to figure out that my brother, who is in grade 2 at the time, isn't well. He is diagnosed with ADHD, Anxiety, and a few LDs. He is moved into a special class (called the ECO room) the next year. While all this is going on I'm trying to figure out how to look like a normal kid, while still dealing with all of this at home, and having this sleeping thing that makes me sleep for ages...
So anyway, I get to Grade 7 March Break starts up, and my parents think 'Oh, let's go skiing in the Rocky Mountains to get every bodies mind off things" and I bring along a few books. One of those books just happens to be Twilight. Now, this was the Twilight Saga before anyone caught wind of the movie, before we knew when Breaking Dawn was coming out, before Twilight got popular. I have an irrational dislike of really popular things, Harry Potter notwithstanding.
So Twilight becomes the very first thing that I obsess about. I had the soundtrack the first day it came out. I got posters, I got (and made) T-Shirts, but most of all, I found Fanfiction.
Now, when Twilight got popular, I started looking for ways out. It became something I didn't want to take part in, if everyone else could, sort of. In a way, I didn't want Twilight to be my life anymore. I wanted to be different, again. So, having moved from Twilight exclusively fanfic sites to FF .net I switched to Harry Potter. And suddenly, everything that I had had in the Twilight world before it became a 'huge phenomenon' was there, except everyone was way more mature. And then, I took the quizzes, I reread the books, I reread the books again, I made t-shirts, I found Wizard Rock, I went to a Wizard Rock concert, I found A Very Potter Musical, I found Average Wizard, I dressed up as Draco Malfoy for Halloween, I had a party for A Very Potter Sequel.
In the end, the total amount of time spent on Twilight 11 months and 21 days. Total amount of time spent, and continuing to spend on Harry Potter: Years. So Twilight will always remain as a thing I will remember as being my first obsession, but Harry Potter is a thing of the books. From 6 years old, to 15 years, to the end of this, it will probably be the longest thing I have ever enjoyed.
Song: The End of an Era by Oliver Boyd and the Rememberalls and A Phoenix Lament by Ministry of Magic.
Book: Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows by JK Rowling, and Harry, A History by Melissa Annelli.
Quotes: One shivering second of silence, the shock of the moment suspended: and then the tumult broke around Harry as the screams and the cheers and the roars of the watchers rent the air. The fierce new sun dazzled the windows as they thundered towards him, and the first to reach him were Ron and Hermione, and it was their arms that were wrapped around him, their incomprehensible shouts that deafened him. Then Ginny, Neville and Luna were there, and then all the Weasleys and Hagrid, and Kingsley and McGonagall and Flitwick and Sprout, and Harry could not hear a word that anyone was shouting, nor tell whose hands were seizing him, pulling him, trying to hug some part of him, hundreds of them pressing in, all of them determined to touch the Boy Who Lived, the reason it was over at last –" Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows "Dumbledore will never truly leave, just as long as those who remain loyal to him stay!" A Little Bit'o'Lils

Hiya peoples!!! Basics:
Song stuck in head: Bohemian Rhapsody by Queen (Glee version), a very depressing song, but still a good one!
Quote of the day: Umm... Snape: Where did the poster of Headmaster Zfron go? Umbridge: Sorry Snape, but Taylor Lautner's my man. Snape: What do you want you horrid b***h!
Book: Still HP #1 and The Hobbit. In HP, I'm at the point where the Gryffindor's beat Hufflepuff and Ron and Neville pawn Malfoy, Crabb and Goyle. And in The Hobbit they just met Beorn. Betho doesn't like J.R.R. Tolkien cause she thinks he goes on and on about stuff, but I love that he does that. Mind you I've also slaved my way through Jane Austen's Emma and Sense and Sensibility which is NOT easily done.
Books are the best creation on the planet (you cannot deny it, so don't even try). I tend to gravitate to Fantasy or Sci-fi, and I like classics too, but I think I've become quite close-minded about books. I like what I like and I don't like things that are different. The weird thing is that when it comes to other stuff, I believe I am quite open-minded. Especially food, I want to try sushi. I love food.
TV...Well I can tell you right now that I'm a big gleek. Glee is the best show in the world. No other TV show deals the stuff they deal with, is funny and has songs at regular intervals. IT IS THE BEST TV SHOW EVER!!!!!!!!! I also love music because it is fantastical (I make up words on a regular basis. Most of them are easy to understand, so I don't think you'll have any issues).
If I could do one job in the whole wide world, it would be astronomy related. Here's a cool fact: did you know that the days of the week are named after the sun and planets. Yeah cool right. But the week days only work in romantic languages (I think that's the term), like French. (I had to look up the French days of the week online for this...tells you how great I'm gonna do in Gr. 9 French) Lundi - moon (lune is French for moon), mardi - Mars, mercredi - Mercury, jeudi - Jupiter, and vendredi - Venus (sickest planet ever; crushed by the atmosphere, poisoned by acid rain, burned alive by lava (or heat, but then you would probably melt instead), and die of suffocation. Wouldn't you love to live there!? And to think that it's named after the Greek goddess of love and beauty and it used to be like Earth. Think about this next time you use your car or pollute or decide to raise cows). And weekends, in English, Saturday - Saturn and Sunday - the Sun. Kool, eh? (So Canadian).
Anyway, I guess I'll say bye now, to all our followers (at this moment we have 1, ourselves). So, farwell all!!!

Better Late Than Never?

So, because of poor planning on my part (and Lily's) I needed to do a blog post yesterday. I didn't, as I'm sure you can tell. What was I doing instead of checking my e-mail, you ask. Well, there was this writing thing and then FanFiction, oh, fanfiction. It sucks me in. I swear. And then I was reading some really funny stories. (One called "Scorpius Malfoy and the Improbable Plot" is really, scarily funny. There's this one point where Teddy's like 'Even if your pain is unique and original' and Harry says 'but Harry, you can't possibly understand what it's like to be an agnst ridden orphan with a stressful home life, messy hair and an impossible crush on a Ravenclaw, a notorious godfather and two left feet, sometimes literally.' Story of Harry's life. The other one has Harry 'falling' all over Draco, and then Draco mocks Harry back right until Lucious comes and then Harry does it to Draco's father, and then McGonagall walks in, and Draco says something about wanting to be a Gryffindor. Anther funny part was when Harry said "I had a pet rock once. It died." I died. BUT anyway.) So there was no post on Wednesday. That is why there are going to be two today. I think.
But now I have to go, so quick little thingys.
Book I'm reading: Still the Book Theif, I really need to read, but I was making a skirt and so....
Song that's Stuck in my Head (Because there always is): Harry Freakin' Potter from AVPS.
Quote of the day: "Where is Human Nature so weak as in the Bookstore?" -Henry Ward Beecher, Too true my man, too true.
Bye,
Bethany

Hello you Internet Peoples!!!

B: You can start.
L: Why do I have to start?
B: Cause I wrote your name first.
L: Shut Up, that doesn't count.
B: Of course it does.
L: I could say really -
B: Let's not get the rating up too high now.
L: Die cushions!!
B: *Looks around*
L: What? They were puffing up and annoying me!
B: Jijjilypuff! I can't spell it.
L: I can. Jigglypuff.
B: Good for you.
L: Go Jigglypuff! It's better than Hufflepuff.
B: But Hufflepuffs are particularly good finders!
L: What the he-
B: Lily, Rating.
L: But I have to finish the quote!
B: Deal. Now you get to introduce this blog... Finally.
L: I don't even know how to start.
B: Founded in 2010...
L: As of today.
B: This blog is officially open.
L: Basically we want people to follow our ridiculousness.
B: Rules?
L: No Trolling in de comments. You make me sound like Umbridge in AVPS. I'm tinking...
B: The blog? Like we will be writing a blog entry every other day except for special occations. Like, eg Bethany on Monday, Lily on Tuesday, Bethany on Wednesday, etc.
L: Saturdays off? Cause of Dance...
B: It's at like, four.
L: One day off - 7 days, 2 girls...
B: Sundays.
L: Sundays are the Holy day.
B: Because blogging is so much work.
L: hehehehe.
B: I was thinking more of a homework day Lil.
L: Like, what?
B: Because I know that Grade 9 is hard.
L: Give away my age much.
B: It's a lot more work than Grade 8 or 10.
L: I know, I know.
*part of conversation deleted*
L: That's what the teachers all say.
B: It's not that Grade 9 is really hard, it's that it's different. To get back on track, what are the other rules?
L: I forgot. Didn't we agree on something?
B: Yes, we did.
L: I forgot. I can get forgetful.
B: 5 regular days off each...
L: Oh, yeah.
B: and since you can see the page, what  is always included in a blog entry.
L: Required. The song stuck in your head. Cause that always happens every day. The quote of the day, and some reading thing that's like a reading log.
B: Excellant.
L: Wow, I did something.
B: So we're just going to be talking about just about anything. We're both novice writers attempting to write books. I am one year older than Lils. We both dance together. I am particularly partial to Harry Potter.
L: I am, too! What about me?
B: What do you want to say Lily?
L: Umm, yeah... Okay then.
B: That's what I thought. We like other things too, but Harry Potter tops the list. And he Wrocks!
L: I have such horrible grammar. Anyways.
B: Did you know I read a book all about grammar. It was called "Woe is Me Jr."
L: No, I didn't.
B: So, since this is a blog entry, what song is stuck in your head?
L: 'Hermione Can't Draw' Hermione can't draw, Hermione can't draw, Hermione cannot draw. We're hilarous.
B: I'm sure the other people think that too.
L: Can not is not one word.
B: It can be.
L: Well, I don't like it like that so shut up.
B: So, who read the grammar book?
L: Be quiet.
B: The song stuck in my head at the moment is "Tom Felton's Kinda Hot" by Draco and the Malfoys. Quote of the day?
L: Okay, okay, okay. I think a quote of the day... Umm... Lupin can't sing, Lupin can't sing, Lupin cannot sing. AVPS wrocks!
B: Humm. What's a really funny one?
L: *Gasp* Lily scrambles to look at book. (she actually has a book of quotes. I'd think it was weird, except I have one too. -B)
L: I think you should do...
B: No, I have one. "What the devil is going on heerrree???" Snape AVPM and AVPS. Priceless.
L: Yes, yes, yes.
B: What else do we do. Oh, it was that reading thing.
L: It was your idea, don't forget it.
B: The Book Thief.. Awesome book.
L: Well, I'm reading both Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone and The Hobbit. Reading two books at once is awesome and so easy. We should end this now, cause it's long.
B: Yeah, bye!
*This was an actual conversation. It is normal. Except for the fact that I don't transcribe all of our conversations. Bye*
