Nothing New

I just finaished painting my new iron bed with my mom. I was doing all the touch ups cause it's easier for me. Tomorrow is hopefully coat number two, but maybe not. My aunt is storing stuff in our garage while she finds a place (she's moving back here from Windsor).
I don't really have anything to talk about...nothing new, other than high school. And that's really no big deal.
Song: The Dragon Song and Different As Can Be from AVPM
Quote: Quirrell: Sipping te by the fire is swell. Voldy: Pushing people in it is fun as well!
Books: Lord of the Rings #1 and HP #2
See Ya'll Thursday!!!

I Have No Idea What to Call This Post

Wow, like 1 week until school...AHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! That sucks. I can't sleep in and play games on the computer all day (that makes it sound like I have no life). Ya, so now it's High School for me...I'm excited/nervous but I'm sure it'll be fine.
Song: Loser by Beck (I'm a loser baby, so why don't ya kill me.)
Quote: Will: It took everything I had not to cry. It's like they've all walked a thousand miles just to get punched in the stomach. -- Glee: Journey
Books: The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring by J.R.R. Tolkien, and Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secerts by J.K. Rowling
I was up till midnight last night with my mom watching past episodes of Glee on Diva. My mom insisted that I go to bed right after the regionals. And the Neil Patrick Harris episode, which sucks big time.
I don't really have anything interesting to tell you peeps, so bye!!!

Well...

Man, it has been a while. Right now I am on a computer that does not like apostrophies so it is going to be a kindof odd post. Of course there may be a little bit of accents, but really...

So, it has been a really long time, so excuses first:
Sunday (last week): Darien Lake
Monday: Darien Lake
Tuesday: Darien Lake
Wednesday: VBS Sleepover
Thursday: VBS Sleepover
Friday:Cottage
Saturday: Cottage
Sunday: Cottage
Monday: Canada(apostrophee)s Wonderland.
Tuesday: My brother(apostrophee)s birthday, also... Not my day.
Wednesday: Okay, well, I slept until 4pm, sadly, and then I had chores, and then, supper, and then I was, by some insane way, tired, so, well, yeah.
Thursday: Not my day.
And that brings us to Friday, so...

I was watching a lot of VlogBrothers aka Hank and John Green, and (slash) or Nerdfighters. They are really cool, and they, well, they make fun of Twilight (or, as the people on averagewizard.com say Tw!l!ght). But that is not why I like them. They are just kindof fun to watch. And their advice (or at least John Green(apostrophee)s) on romantic relationships is really funny. And watching them bash Twilight is not that bad either. Especially because what they say makes sense. -It(s) not that we look old, it(s) because we are old- John says when talking about Twilight. So, really, here is some youtube for you to watch. Monday I am in Toronto, so there will not be a post from me, but there will be more. Just be patient.

Thank you random readers. Or not so random readers.

Bethany

Book: Not reading An Abundance of Kathrines anymore (But now you know why I bought the book), but still, Harry, a History by Melissa Annelli, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows by JK Rowling, and Harry Potter Should Have Died by Emerson Spartz and Ben Shoen. (I know the authors now!)
Song: Err, some song from Glee (Lily will be thrilled)
Quote: It is our choises, Harry, that make us who we truly are. Albus Dumbledore.

Long Time No See

Ya, so like Betho said she had her trip to Darien Lake, and then we had VBS (for anyone who doesn't know that's Vacation Bible School) and then up to the cottage. And then on Tuesday my friend had her birthday party at Canada's Wonderland so I was gone the whole day, so ya...I'm really lame, I only went on really easy rides since I'd never been before.
Song: Guys Like Potter - AVPS
Quote: Lupin: ...so we can defeat Slytherin, Ravenclaw and Jigglypuff. (A.K.A. why we're called Jigglypuff)
Books: The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring and Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secerts
I was reading Lord of the Rings at the cottage and I when found out that Frodo was was 50 and I kinda started freaking out. And then I found out that Sam father's name is Hamfast and I started to wonder if J.R.R. Tolkien was sane. And then I relised that all the hobbits father's names rhymed or were similar. And that was just weird.
Anyway, I just felt the need to tell you people that.
Gotta go; see ya'll!!!

This is just to pretty much say, it's been a long time, but we are also kind of busy and won't be posting a lot.

Now, I have to go do chores. Yay.

Song Stuck in my Head: Not Alone from AVPM.
Quote of the day: Snape: That's absurd!
Lupin: You're absurd!
Snape: Say that to my face!
Lupin: You're absurd!
Snape: That's absurd! ~AVPS

Life

Sorry peoples! I had company yesterday and didn't get the chance to go on the computer.

Song: Bohemian Rhapsody, same as a few days ago...these things last for like a week.
Book: The Hobbit and Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets
Quote: Gimli: I never thought I'd die fighting side-by-side with an elf.
Legolas: What about side-by-side with a friend?
Gimli: Aye, I could do that.
-Lord of the Rings Film Trilogy: The Return of the King

I can't wait to compare the books to the movies. My family and I watched The Lord of the Rings movies again earlier in July; good, good movies.
I feel like I should go through my life story like Bethany, but there's not much to tell. Perhaps it is because my family has not had as many struggles as her's has. Anyway, here it goes. My life is much less dramatic in many ways. Our biggest struggle is my little brother who has Down Syndrome. To others, it may seem like a big hassle, but it's not. We love him and he's probably the best thing that happened to my family and me. If this sheds some light on it: I would die for him without a second thought. Even though he will never do the things I will, he will still have a great, loving, happy life. The only other big thing I can think of that is abnormal, is that my mother had a benign tumor behind her eye, and that was really no big deal when I reflect on it. So, ya...
Anyhow, I have been thinking about life lately, and how we take every second for granted, when really it's not. You are not guaranteed even the first second in your life. Any of us could die tomorrow at any second. It's really random.
Think about life, it's rather interesting.
Lils
P.S. Betho won't be posting Monday. She's on a short vacation. Hmm...I might post, depends.

I Open at the Close

So, today it was announced where the split will be in Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 1 and Part 2. And I just can't help but feel a little bit sad with all of this, well, that and one of my older friends posted a picture of us on the night of the Deathly Hallows release.
At 98 Days to go, it kind of seems like the end's coming a little too quickly for me. But really I think I have to go back to the beginning.
Christmas 2001 was my first introduction to Harry Potter. I was in grade one, six years old and pretty much just learning to read. I had decided to try to read 100 books by Christmas, (and if anyone cares that's a little more than 1/school day) My parents are really big readers, and by the time I got to Christmas I was reading novel sized books. My actual reading career started in Kindergarten when I would read books to the class. They were only the kind of picture books that the teacher would read, but I was still 5 and reading aloud.
The Harry Potter books made their way into our household because my father, who is always more up on what's happening, even now, knew that there was a movie coming out and wanted to read the books first. The books were apparently very popular even then. I got him (with my mom's help) a three book set and then fourth book, the only books available at the time. But, then I thought that they looked really interesting, and I read them too. According to my mother, I only caught the main story line, but I was only six. I read them over the next few years again and again, and they just sort of migrated to my bedroom eventually.
Fast forward to 2005, when I turned 11. This is the time that a lot of Harry Potter fans say that they cried when their Hogwarts Letter didn't arrive. Me? I was more interested in why I was now having these little blank-out things. As it turned out, I was having seizures and was diagnosed with Epilepsy later that month. It severely put dent in my life, and it became really important for me to get the medication correct so I could be seizure free. That took most of the summer. And then I went into Grade 6. That August, my dad was diagnosed with an Acoustic Neroma, a type of brain tumor, and though we didn't know it, he would die if he didn't have the surgery in the next 2 months. So, in September 2006, while I'm battling with Epilepsy, my father has a brain tumor removed. It takes until March for us to figure out that my brother, who is in grade 2 at the time, isn't well. He is diagnosed with ADHD, Anxiety, and a few LDs. He is moved into a special class (called the ECO room) the next year. While all this is going on I'm trying to figure out how to look like a normal kid, while still dealing with all of this at home, and having this sleeping thing that makes me sleep for ages...
So anyway, I get to Grade 7 March Break starts up, and my parents think 'Oh, let's go skiing in the Rocky Mountains to get every bodies mind off things" and I bring along a few books. One of those books just happens to be Twilight. Now, this was the Twilight Saga before anyone caught wind of the movie, before we knew when Breaking Dawn was coming out, before Twilight got popular. I have an irrational dislike of really popular things, Harry Potter notwithstanding.
So Twilight becomes the very first thing that I obsess about. I had the soundtrack the first day it came out. I got posters, I got (and made) T-Shirts, but most of all, I found Fanfiction.
Now, when Twilight got popular, I started looking for ways out. It became something I didn't want to take part in, if everyone else could, sort of. In a way, I didn't want Twilight to be my life anymore. I wanted to be different, again. So, having moved from Twilight exclusively fanfic sites to FF .net I switched to Harry Potter. And suddenly, everything that I had had in the Twilight world before it became a 'huge phenomenon' was there, except everyone was way more mature. And then, I took the quizzes, I reread the books, I reread the books again, I made t-shirts, I found Wizard Rock, I went to a Wizard Rock concert, I found A Very Potter Musical, I found Average Wizard, I dressed up as Draco Malfoy for Halloween, I had a party for A Very Potter Sequel.
In the end, the total amount of time spent on Twilight 11 months and 21 days. Total amount of time spent, and continuing to spend on Harry Potter: Years. So Twilight will always remain as a thing I will remember as being my first obsession, but Harry Potter is a thing of the books. From 6 years old, to 15 years, to the end of this, it will probably be the longest thing I have ever enjoyed.
Song: The End of an Era by Oliver Boyd and the Rememberalls and A Phoenix Lament by Ministry of Magic.
Book: Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows by JK Rowling, and Harry, A History by Melissa Annelli.
Quotes: One shivering second of silence, the shock of the moment suspended: and then the tumult broke around Harry as the screams and the cheers and the roars of the watchers rent the air. The fierce new sun dazzled the windows as they thundered towards him, and the first to reach him were Ron and Hermione, and it was their arms that were wrapped around him, their incomprehensible shouts that deafened him. Then Ginny, Neville and Luna were there, and then all the Weasleys and Hagrid, and Kingsley and McGonagall and Flitwick and Sprout, and Harry could not hear a word that anyone was shouting, nor tell whose hands were seizing him, pulling him, trying to hug some part of him, hundreds of them pressing in, all of them determined to touch the Boy Who Lived, the reason it was over at last –" Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows "Dumbledore will never truly leave, just as long as those who remain loyal to him stay!" A Little Bit'o'Lils

Hiya peoples!!! Basics:
Song stuck in head: Bohemian Rhapsody by Queen (Glee version), a very depressing song, but still a good one!
Quote of the day: Umm... Snape: Where did the poster of Headmaster Zfron go? Umbridge: Sorry Snape, but Taylor Lautner's my man. Snape: What do you want you horrid b***h!
Book: Still HP #1 and The Hobbit. In HP, I'm at the point where the Gryffindor's beat Hufflepuff and Ron and Neville pawn Malfoy, Crabb and Goyle. And in The Hobbit they just met Beorn. Betho doesn't like J.R.R. Tolkien cause she thinks he goes on and on about stuff, but I love that he does that. Mind you I've also slaved my way through Jane Austen's Emma and Sense and Sensibility which is NOT easily done.
Books are the best creation on the planet (you cannot deny it, so don't even try). I tend to gravitate to Fantasy or Sci-fi, and I like classics too, but I think I've become quite close-minded about books. I like what I like and I don't like things that are different. The weird thing is that when it comes to other stuff, I believe I am quite open-minded. Especially food, I want to try sushi. I love food.
TV...Well I can tell you right now that I'm a big gleek. Glee is the best show in the world. No other TV show deals the stuff they deal with, is funny and has songs at regular intervals. IT IS THE BEST TV SHOW EVER!!!!!!!!! I also love music because it is fantastical (I make up words on a regular basis. Most of them are easy to understand, so I don't think you'll have any issues).
If I could do one job in the whole wide world, it would be astronomy related. Here's a cool fact: did you know that the days of the week are named after the sun and planets. Yeah cool right. But the week days only work in romantic languages (I think that's the term), like French. (I had to look up the French days of the week online for this...tells you how great I'm gonna do in Gr. 9 French) Lundi - moon (lune is French for moon), mardi - Mars, mercredi - Mercury, jeudi - Jupiter, and vendredi - Venus (sickest planet ever; crushed by the atmosphere, poisoned by acid rain, burned alive by lava (or heat, but then you would probably melt instead), and die of suffocation. Wouldn't you love to live there!? And to think that it's named after the Greek goddess of love and beauty and it used to be like Earth. Think about this next time you use your car or pollute or decide to raise cows). And weekends, in English, Saturday - Saturn and Sunday - the Sun. Kool, eh? (So Canadian).
Anyway, I guess I'll say bye now, to all our followers (at this moment we have 1, ourselves). So, farwell all!!!

Better Late Than Never?

So, because of poor planning on my part (and Lily's) I needed to do a blog post yesterday. I didn't, as I'm sure you can tell. What was I doing instead of checking my e-mail, you ask. Well, there was this writing thing and then FanFiction, oh, fanfiction. It sucks me in. I swear. And then I was reading some really funny stories. (One called "Scorpius Malfoy and the Improbable Plot" is really, scarily funny. There's this one point where Teddy's like 'Even if your pain is unique and original' and Harry says 'but Harry, you can't possibly understand what it's like to be an agnst ridden orphan with a stressful home life, messy hair and an impossible crush on a Ravenclaw, a notorious godfather and two left feet, sometimes literally.' Story of Harry's life. The other one has Harry 'falling' all over Draco, and then Draco mocks Harry back right until Lucious comes and then Harry does it to Draco's father, and then McGonagall walks in, and Draco says something about wanting to be a Gryffindor. Anther funny part was when Harry said "I had a pet rock once. It died." I died. BUT anyway.) So there was no post on Wednesday. That is why there are going to be two today. I think.
But now I have to go, so quick little thingys.
Book I'm reading: Still the Book Theif, I really need to read, but I was making a skirt and so....
Song that's Stuck in my Head (Because there always is): Harry Freakin' Potter from AVPS.
Quote of the day: "Where is Human Nature so weak as in the Bookstore?" -Henry Ward Beecher, Too true my man, too true.
Bye,
Bethany

Hello you Internet Peoples!!!

B: You can start.
L: Why do I have to start?
B: Cause I wrote your name first.
L: Shut Up, that doesn't count.
B: Of course it does.
L: I could say really -
B: Let's not get the rating up too high now.
L: Die cushions!!
B: *Looks around*
L: What? They were puffing up and annoying me!
B: Jijjilypuff! I can't spell it.
L: I can. Jigglypuff.
B: Good for you.
L: Go Jigglypuff! It's better than Hufflepuff.
B: But Hufflepuffs are particularly good finders!
L: What the he-
B: Lily, Rating.
L: But I have to finish the quote!
B: Deal. Now you get to introduce this blog... Finally.
L: I don't even know how to start.
B: Founded in 2010...
L: As of today.
B: This blog is officially open.
L: Basically we want people to follow our ridiculousness.
B: Rules?
L: No Trolling in de comments. You make me sound like Umbridge in AVPS. I'm tinking...
B: The blog? Like we will be writing a blog entry every other day except for special occations. Like, eg Bethany on Monday, Lily on Tuesday, Bethany on Wednesday, etc.
L: Saturdays off? Cause of Dance...
B: It's at like, four.
L: One day off - 7 days, 2 girls...
B: Sundays.
L: Sundays are the Holy day.
B: Because blogging is so much work.
L: hehehehe.
B: I was thinking more of a homework day Lil.
L: Like, what?
B: Because I know that Grade 9 is hard.
L: Give away my age much.
B: It's a lot more work than Grade 8 or 10.
L: I know, I know.
*part of conversation deleted*
L: That's what the teachers all say.
B: It's not that Grade 9 is really hard, it's that it's different. To get back on track, what are the other rules?
L: I forgot. Didn't we agree on something?
B: Yes, we did.
L: I forgot. I can get forgetful.
B: 5 regular days off each...
L: Oh, yeah.
B: and since you can see the page, what  is always included in a blog entry.
L: Required. The song stuck in your head. Cause that always happens every day. The quote of the day, and some reading thing that's like a reading log.
B: Excellant.
L: Wow, I did something.
B: So we're just going to be talking about just about anything. We're both novice writers attempting to write books. I am one year older than Lils. We both dance together. I am particularly partial to Harry Potter.
L: I am, too! What about me?
B: What do you want to say Lily?
L: Umm, yeah... Okay then.
B: That's what I thought. We like other things too, but Harry Potter tops the list. And he Wrocks!
L: I have such horrible grammar. Anyways.
B: Did you know I read a book all about grammar. It was called "Woe is Me Jr."
L: No, I didn't.
B: So, since this is a blog entry, what song is stuck in your head?
L: 'Hermione Can't Draw' Hermione can't draw, Hermione can't draw, Hermione cannot draw. We're hilarous.
B: I'm sure the other people think that too.
L: Can not is not one word.
B: It can be.
L: Well, I don't like it like that so shut up.
B: So, who read the grammar book?
L: Be quiet.
B: The song stuck in my head at the moment is "Tom Felton's Kinda Hot" by Draco and the Malfoys. Quote of the day?
L: Okay, okay, okay. I think a quote of the day... Umm... Lupin can't sing, Lupin can't sing, Lupin cannot sing. AVPS wrocks!
B: Humm. What's a really funny one?
L: *Gasp* Lily scrambles to look at book. (she actually has a book of quotes. I'd think it was weird, except I have one too. -B)
L: I think you should do...
B: No, I have one. "What the devil is going on heerrree???" Snape AVPM and AVPS. Priceless.
L: Yes, yes, yes.
B: What else do we do. Oh, it was that reading thing.
L: It was your idea, don't forget it.
B: The Book Thief.. Awesome book.
L: Well, I'm reading both Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone and The Hobbit. Reading two books at once is awesome and so easy. We should end this now, cause it's long.
B: Yeah, bye!
*This was an actual conversation. It is normal. Except for the fact that I don't transcribe all of our conversations. Bye*
